Medical Staff Donates $30,000

The Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge Medical Staff recently donated $30,000 to the Blue Ridge HealthCare Foundation to help with the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Fund.

“It is with great pleasure that the medical staff is able to donate to the Blue Ridge Healthcare Foundation,” said David Clark, MD, president of the Medical Staff. “We recognized a need in our community for financial assistance due to the COVID pandemic. It is our hope that this will make a difference for our patients.”

“The Blue Ridge HealthCare Foundation is incredibly grateful for this donation. While the pandemic has caused the cancellation of most of the foundation’s fundraising, patient and teammate are still in need and this gift will make a tremendous impact on many,” said Traci Riebel, Executive Director of the Blue Ridge HealthCare Foundation.

The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Fund has been established to assist CHS Blue Ridge’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly aiding our patients, residents and teammates who are experiencing a financial hardship due to the crisis. The money may also be used for any future essential needs as identified by the foundation and CHS Blue Ridge. The fund helps teammates in meeting basic needs related to COVID-19 when all other resources have been exhausted.
