Cardiology Services at UNC Health Blue Ridge
For over 100 years, heart disease has remained the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. UNC Health Blue Ridge is dedicated to addressing the diverse heart health needs of our community. Each year, over 700 heart procedures are performed, including both invasive and non-invasive treatments, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology (EP) studies.
Cardiology Services are available across three counties, ensuring comprehensive care for all heart-related needs. A wide range of diagnostic and screening tools is available, including cardiac calcium scores, stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac computed tomography angiography (CTA). Additionally, cardiac rehabilitation services support patients in their recovery following a heart attack.
