Meet Our Returning Neighbors Helping Neighbors Gala Co-Chairs for 2026!

Hi, I'm Lyndsay Brisson, and I'm honored to serve as co-chair for this year’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors Gala.

After living overseas and traveling extensively, my family and I chose to put down roots in Morganton five years ago. We quickly fell in love with the charm of small-town life and are proud to call Morganton home.

I currently serve as the PE and health teacher at Morganton Day School, where I’m passionate about promoting wellness and nurturing meaningful connections within our community.

While this is my first year co-chairing the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Gala, I previously co-chaired the Morganton Day School Gala for three consecutive years.

Outside the classroom, you’ll most often find me swinging kettlebells, exploring new places with my husband and our two daughters, or spending time with our beloved flock of backyard chickens.

I’m Amber Bernard-Gantt, and it’s an honor and joy to serve you for the fourth year in a row as Neighbors Helping Neighbors Gala co-chair! I was born and raised in Morganton, and growing up, my mom was a long-term hospital employee, serving as Director of Pediatric Nursing.

When I moved back to Morganton after attending law school and living in Dallas, TX, for 10 years, I knew that supporting the hospital and our local healthcare system was very important to me.

I currently live in Downtown Morganton with my husband, John Gantt, and two children, Wade and Winston. I am the proud owner of Giggles N’ Grins 3 Child Care & Learning Center and currently serve as Vice Chair of the Blue Ridge Healthcare Foundation. I also serve as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Morganton.

When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy traveling with my family, visiting the NC coast, going to the gym, and hanging with my kids. I’m very much looking forward to working with Lyndsay Brisson this year and producing the best Gala yet! It’s going to be a great year!
